9/15 Dreams of being Misguided

I was with someone I knew. We were in a car. We decide to go to my friend Nathan's house. I haven't talked to Nathan in over 10 years. He lived in Minnesota. We're driving for a while and I exclaim that it shouldn't take this long, to which my friend replies Nathan moved. Next thing I know the friend I'm with and Nathan are in this sprawling cave with monsters roaming around. Nathan is really bent on getting somewhere in this cave, so we wait for the towering molten giant to move before encroaching in. There are several armed (with swords) guards and we dispatch them with bow and arrows. We climb up a ladder and Nathan and my other friend advance forward, but for some reason I lag behind hugging the wall. They order me to come forward else the guards will see me, but I can't move. Some girl appears and asks me to save her from the monsters, which I'm annoyed at because I don't want to babysit some dumb girl. The patrolling guards notice me and make toward me, so I turn and descend back down the latter with the girl, one arm around her urging her forward because her dumb ass can't run by herself. The molten giant had returned and notices me as well, so it too begins to follow me. Nathan and the other friend somehow meet up with us and we evade our pursuers. Then also in the cave I meet a pseudo friend from high school, John Scalon, who I didn't recognize at first because his face filled out, and he said he didn't recognize me because of my facial hair. He asks what we're doing and we tell him avoiding monsters, and he shows us this rectangular shard of quartz in his hand. John tells me this is where it's really at – quartz is the mineral of truth and I should pursue it with him. I try to clandestinely do so but have my other two friends as baggage and they still want me to play their game.

I wake up, it's 6:30. Back to bed. Dream #2.

I'm in a video game world or sorts, but not really. It's a hostage rescue situation in which some of my friends are bad guys and some are team mates. My teammates split up, seeking to flank our enemy. I see three of the enemy moving in the distance. Two run, but the third remains stationary, so I pick him off with my assault rifle. I chase the other two and throw a grenade at them but it was a mis-throw. I pursue the two into a house. As I enter the house, I notice a small cache of weapons and ammo from a previous fight. I see an empty shotgun shell beside a pump action shotty. I also find an unspent round, so I pull out my auto-shotty and load it up. Making my way through the house, I spot a hostage, who also spots me. I motion to him as if to confirm that the bad guys are in his room, and he nods his head to affirm. I hold up a flashbang and motion for him to cover his eyes. I toss it past him and hustle in to take advantage of any enemy I may have blinded, but none were there. I see another hostage standing in front of a corridor next to a descending stairwell, so I take a position 5 steps down the stairwell waiting in ambush. Then I spot the barrel of an assault rifle up against the hostage's head. He moves forward. I wait until I can see the head of the enemy. Once I can, I begin to slowly press down on the trigger. However, it makes a sound and the enemy turns toward me and bursts 2 rounds into my neck. I'm done and collapse, but not dead or even injured. The enemy takes me back to where he was hiding and I see a cache of weapons. I vent to him that my trigger was not sensitive enough and should have blasted him before he even noticed me, but it's to no avail now. I should have just pressed down harder.
